Standard facts first: I have a BA in Journalism from UW Oshkosh and an AA in Graphic Design and Illustration from Madison College. Following my time at UWO, I worked as a Legislative/Research Assistant in the State Assembly for 6 years before pivoting to using the other side of my brain, earning my design degree in 2017. I hustled with short-term and part time gigs while waiting tables and bartending before landing at image.works for 6 years - where should I spend my next 6?
As you can see, I love designing with bold colors and fun type, but I understand that all clients are different and have plenty of experience whipping up more minimalist content as well. I can create motion graphics for social media, explainer videos on how to set up online banking - I've even won an award for a TV ad. Conversely, I can set up a file for print production in my sleep and have become a pro at troubleshooting low-res graphics and logos. Who among us hasn't searched a client's website for a pdf that has a vector logo embedded in it?
Finally, as you learned on the homepage in very large copy, I live in Milwaukee with my dog Ann, who loves napping on her own couch and having her own Great Lake to swim in. I've been a sporty spice since a young age and am a Bucks season ticket holder, and was also thrilled to see the Brewers defeat the Cubs at home in the NLDS this season. I also am an obsessive audiobook listener and reader and love an arts and crafts night with friends. I also volunteer with the fantastic Milwaukee Diaper Mission and also support them by running an annual fundraiser for Bucks fans online.
